We’ll start our trip with a tasty breakfast at Seri Tae Tiam By Poj (1st Branch), located in Mueang district of Surat Thani, which is only 5 minutes from the airport.
The shop is at the corner of the building and is very visible. The interior is decorated in a simple design and the menu features various dishes to choose from including dim sum.
There are various kinds of dim sum to choose from, you can just take your tray and pick any. After that, hand it over to the staff so they can steam it for us.
The highlight of this place, and you definitely should not miss it, is “Bak Kut Teh,” served hot in a clay pot.

After filling up our stomachs, we’re heading over to “Wat Phra Borommathat Chaiya.” The temple contains Buddha’s relics and is the only temple in Thailand that can still preserve Srivijaya’s architectural style completely.
It is located in Wiang sub-district, Chaiya district, Surat Thani. This temple is considered an important sanctuary for Surat people and is one of the three sacred ancient sites worshiped in the southern region as well.
On top of that, it is one of the oldest temples still existing. There was evidence connecting to the time of the late Suvarnabhumi Kingdom and early Srivijaya Kingdom where they have adopted Mahayana Buddhism – which was ascertained from the ancient sites and antiques that still remain today and was present for many generations.

After a long day, let’s have some rest. We’ll be staying at ‘Our Jungle House,’ a treehouse located in Klong-sok surrounded by trees, rivers, and the forest. Once you arrive, you’ll feel the fresh and clean air touching your face. It is the perfect place for relaxation and a mini get-away from the busy city.
What is more, other than the comfortable bed, the homestay is filled with all the facilities you will need when staying in a forest. So, you don’t need to worry when you’re here because sleeping in the forest will not be a difficult thing anymore!
At “Our Jungle House,” there are a number of activities you can enjoy, but what we highly recommend is the river tubing ride. You can ride along the calm river right next to the homestay. Second day, we’ll be ending our trip with an unseen, hidden site, “Nam Rad Forest Headwaters,” a hidden oasis located in the middle of the southern city forest. Because it is surrounded by the rich nature, forest, and mountains, it is unquestionable that this place is absolutely stunning. It is a community attraction located in Khiri Rat Nikhom district and is a pond that springs up from the mountain base, which is why the water is clear and cool. Plus, you can soak yourself in it and take pictures all around.
The highlight of this place is the clear emerald blue spring water where we can see what is actually in the water, including small and big fish swimming around on the sand and limestone sediments. Additionally, the entrance fee is only 25 Baht per person and you can experience a million Baht worth view.
The view is stunning and came out amazing in the pictures.
