The park has “Phra Puttha Silavadee,” a chedi built with laterite brought from the city of Kamphaeng Phet. It is located 300 meters from the ground on a limestone mountain, which contains Buddha relics inside. It acts as the center of belief and faith for all Buddhists, leading to a number of tourists traveling to the park to pay homage to prosperity in life.
In addition to being a sacred religious place that is worshiped by the public, the art and architecture within the park is also fascinating. There is an ancient arc entrance with 9 peaks with the word “Buddhawadi” carved on it. It’s absolutely stunning, especially when the morning light reflects onto the arch. On top of that, you can walk up early morning to see the sea mist of the southern region, which is as beautiful as the north, and snap some picture as a souvenir back home, or as a memory.
Most importantly, it is not difficult at all to go there. You can just follow the coordinates on Google Map – when you arrive at the small parking spot next to the walkway, walk up for about 20-30 minutes and you’ll see the beauty above. The distance from the bottom is not far, but it can be quite steep, so be very careful when you walk up.
